Hi there again.
While I am working on the magazine and finding new artists to share with you, I want to tell you why DIONNE is what it is. An online magazine.
page one.
One thing that was the start of the downfall of social media (in my eyes), is the factor of endless scrolling. No more timeline, in which you can reach a "wall" that lets you know you´re up to date with everything and everyone. Now you can scroll for hours without reaching an end. A great idea for endless money, but awful for our productivity and sense of time.
While there are many magazines out there, and social media, how we know it, might still exist in the future in some way or another, DIONNE tries to connect these two by being an interactive and social magazine.
By introducing new and/ or upcoming artists, that are accesible, DIONNE opens a new world in the world for creators. The distance between reader and artist created and kept by other magazines, gets completely pushed aside. We think community is what matters.
- DIONNE opens the door for you, you walk through it.
Despite the proximity between artists and readers, DIONNE offers the artists a commendable stage to present their art. With quality photos and creative edits DIONNE gives the artists a respectable stage that they deserve - not just an account on an overcrowded social media application ;)

interaction and peace
You might have noticed that DIONNE has integrated links and QR codes. These enable you to directly find the art talked about in the articles.
In order to counteract the endless scrolling, we decided to use the media form of a magazine to share our idea. We don´t want to overstimulate your brain and thus wanted to give you media in a form that allows you to seperate work and leisure.
The magazine is something that is always accessible when needed, but doesn´t get into the way of your work. With a clear start and an end, distractions are minimized as much as possible. Get work done, take a break, read DIONNE, enjoy it, and you´re free to go again- time well spent for well curated articles.
In addition to this, we created pages with lots of information and some with less, not because we´re lazy, but to serve as a place of peace and inspiration for you. Take in the art, inhale and feel the peace that art can bring.
