After the movie, food was served and we got a chance to reflect on the topics we saw. This was followed by a discussion with the possibility to ask questions to the director Anna Gaberscik, historian Vanessa Spanbauer or activist and speaker of the "Black Voices" Referendum Emmeraude Banda. Interviewer Michael Okoli made sure that everybody was heard and all of the questions of the audience were answered accordingly; giving everybody the space to express themselves.

The touching topics and shared frustration reminded us we´re humans fighting for the same cause and highlighted how important art is in presenting and representing what we stand for and who we are.

A nice ending to an eventful evening.

interviews and sharing views.

Making this community grow and connect also means finding creative people that you can work with or be inspired by.

For this reason I held an interview with P to hear about his  upcoming projects and more. You might have heard P in Smooth Monkey where he published under the alias Big P and toured Austria with his catchy tunes.

In the upcoming interview you will hear more about his inspiration and where you can connect with him, shared to you by DIONNE

the first event.

On Friday Jeffrey E. Izevbizua  and Eriema Nyherovwo, the creators of the "Black Movie Days",  joined hands with Volkshilfe Community Works and Cape 10 to present us the movie "Edelweiss".  The readers of DIONNE got together and our community connected over food and educating art.

Last week the event "Black Movie Days" debuted with the movie "Edelweiss", live music and good (free!) food. Through appeals in the blog and social media we succefully met up and watched the community of DIONNE take its first steps...
